Class Notes: Women of the Bible Series: Rahab Introduction

I wrote the following on the board as a way to jumpstart our study ...

(Reminder:  the following are my class notes from a young wives Bible class that I teach.  They are not a complete lesson.)

That statement segwayed into our introduction of Rahab.

I brought up the fact that Rahab ...

had chosen a profession that was against the teaching of God's Word ...
was fearful ...
was a liar ...
was manipulative ...
disobeyed the law/king ...
betrayed her people ...

Rahab did all this before she came to know God and His people ...

I left the class hanging right there ... yes, I did and I'm going to leave you hanging there too ...

until the next class!

That's all this week!

(Did you read the first lesson in our verse-by-verse in-depth study on Martha which we're studying in our Thursday Ladies Bible class?)

May God be glorified in all that we do!

patsy @ From This Heart of Mine

In the spirit of Titus 2:3-5 and from this heart of mine ...

Older women likewise are to be reverent in their behavior, not malicious gossips nor enslaved to much wine, teaching what is good, so that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be sensible, pure, workers at home, kind, being subject to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be dishonored.
